Gloria Robles is the director of clients and community relations at the Law Offices of David M. Sperling. She has 8 years of experience working in various positions of the immigration firm, such as paralegal, director of public relations, auditor, operation manager, and administrator of the Huntington Station office. These roles have given her solid knowledge and expertise, allowing her to contribute to the firm’s growth.
She emigrated to the United Stated from Peru, in 2004, where she was a Public Accountant. Already in the United States, she received her equivalency on bachelor’s in accounting in 2008.
In 2009, she started working as a reporter in Long Island, NY at Noticia LI’s newspaper. She was covering issues of the Latino community. That experience was an eye opener for her and consequently, she became more active in the community. She was a reporter there for seven years.
Her work within the community led her to Círculo de la Hispanidad. She worked directly for its’ founder and was the coordinator of its annual fundraising gala which provides scholarships to immigrant students.
She is currently the president of the Board of the DREAM Foundation since 2017 and is the vice-chairperson of the Hispanic Task Force of the Town of Huntington.
Gloria was a volunteer at the Hispanic/Latino-American Advisory Council to the District Attorney of Nassau County from 2018 to January 2022. In 2011, she become a community volunteer at Hofstra University Radio Station, 88.7 F.M., and along with other volunteer students, started the radio show Alternativa Latina. The show discussed the issues that affected the Latino community. Later, she became the producer of the radio show and received the Programming Excellence Award at the Hofstra University Radio Station in 2013. She ended her volunteer work in 2015.
In 2010, she promoted and organized financial educational lectures and seminars for non-profit institutions within the Latino community of Brentwood and Hempstead. She also volunteered at Christian radio stations in Queens and Long Island, in 2008.
Volunteering for Gloria is part of giving and contributing to her Long Island community.
One of Gloria favorite hobbies is doing voice overs. She used to do it for corporations, and radio stations in Peru. She is currently building her studio at her home. Her second passion is gardening. Growing flowers and taking care of the plants in her garden give her immense pleasure.
